Tottenham and Manchester City both targets the 4th place in the premiership which is a ticket for the UEFA Champions League. But the competition is hard and teams like Liverpool and Aston Villa also want Champions League football next year. Manchester City has spent millions of pounds on new players this summer and therefore the pressure is high on Mark Hughes’ side which have already drawn 8 times this season.  Tottenham on the other hand needed a win after last the weekend’s shocking defeat at White Hart Lane against newly promoted Wolverhampton.

City of Manchester Stadium created a perfect scene late Saturday afternoon as Manchester City took on Championship rivals Chelsea. Manchester City had drawn 7 Premier League games in a row and therefore desperately needed a home win to please the home crowd. Chelsea on the other hand was looking to defend their 5 points lead to rivals Manchester United in the top of the league with away win in Manchester. It turned out to be a typical English match with hard fights and hard tackles.
