Michael Owen made his debut as a professional football player for Liverpool against Wimbledon in May 1997 where he scored the first goal of his career. This goal was the first of many. Owen scored stunning 118 goals for Liverpool in Premier League from 96 to 2004.

Owen is currently England’s fourth highest scorer of all time, scoring his 39th and 40th goal on his 85th cap, and is England’s leading competitive goal scorer with 26 goals.

Tuesday night Liverpool took on underdog Crewe in the English Carling Cup.

Crewe played a good game at Anfield but endded up loosing 2 – 1 to a Liverpool reserve team.

Daniel Agger scored the first goal and played a good game, how long can Benitez ignore him to the first team line-up?

O’Conner got one bach before half time but Lucas scored the winning goal after 58 minutes.

UEFA Cup 2001 Final Liverpool vs Alaves

Underdog ALaves ended a superb season in Spain with a brave loose to Liverpool in the UEFA Cup final.

Champions League 2005 Final Liverpool vs Milan

In 2005 Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League final in breathe-taking match against AC Milan in Istanbul. In the half-time break Liverpool were down 0 – 3 to a well-playing AC Milan team. In secund half Liverpool came back and the score was 3 – 3 after 90 minutes.

No goals were scored in extra time and it went to penalties. Jerzy Dudek demosrated brilliant goalkeeping and Liverpool took the trophy after one of the best Champions League Finals in history.
