The bidding war for Berbatov has finally ended. Rumours were many, but United got one of the world’s best strikers. Manchester City offered €30million, but Berbatov states: “Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me. I look forward to playing my part in helping this club win more honours in the years to come.”

Dimitar Berbatov was the only player United bought in this transfer window.

Dimitar Berbatov has been linked with a move to Manchester United all summer, but now Manchester City have stepped up with a last-minute offer for the Bulgarian international.

City Boss Mark Hughes has told Sky Sports News: “We have made an offer, I think it’s been agreed between ourselves and Tottenham, and it’s really about the boy making a decision. I‘m as stunned and excited by this as the fans are”.

Tottenham manager Juande Ramos has left out Berbatov in the last two matches and it seems more than likely Berbatov will be leaving White Hart Lane soon.

Berbatov is set to cost the buyer around £30 million.

It seems to be a fact that Berbatov is heading north to Manchester. Tottenham’s manager Ramos will definitely miss a top player like Berbatov. According to many of today’s newspapers is the manager interested in the Columbian Falcao from River’s Plate – Ramos should be willing to pay €10 mil.

The manager’s favorite seems to be Forlan, but his doesn’t go cheap – €23 mil!
