   To all you insensitive and RUDE Americans, PLEASE stop calling OUR beautiful beloved game SOCCER!!!

   You, along with the Australians are the ONLY (and any other of your financially enslaved satellites!!!) people on the planet to call football, soccer!!!

   You realise it is called football but for what ever reason (ignorance, arrogance!?!) the mind boggles!, you continue to call it soccer.

   Given half a business chance you would turn it into a much more corporately digestible 4 quarter version and use terms such as “red zone”, “the third period”, “overtime”, “round ten” (instead of this week’s matches!!!), and “PK”
   as you so RUDELY did in the 94 world cup coverage brought to those who were in the US and had no choice but to endure 90 minutes of painful commentary “commercial free” from Mastercard taking up 30% of the screen!!!!!!!!!!

   Imagine if we all started calling baseball, stickball just because we wanted to?

   Respect our game, that is universally loved and have the decency to call it what it is FOOTBALL.

   The bottom line Africa, Europe, Asia, South America ,,, we
   ALL call it FOOTBALL,

   Show some respect

   Take your Futbol to those countries and handle soccer.
   Here in USA it’s soccer, the rest of the world (and you)can call it what you want.
   Call it stickball if you want, lets see how that grows.
   We are not in Africa, Europe, Asia, etc.
   Soccer is soccer and football season is ended with the SUPERBOWL.

   Football is played with the action of kicking a ball continuously with the foot.
   American Football is carried with the hands and in some ocasions it it shot with the foot.

   So what is more football???

   Its no offence but by the logic of the game and the name,….

   Lets face it, the USA will call games what they want anyway (and change the rules accordingly to make the game easier).

   e.g.

   Rounders -> Baseball (bigger bat, to make it easier to hit)
   Netball -> Basketball (allow some moving with the ball, to make it easier)

   Coincidence that these are both considered girls games in the UK?

   SO USA rename your Football to Handball …. erm no this Sport already Exists, CALL IT SOMETHINGEGG cause its not a Ball Your “somethingegg” a Ball is round by definition.

    i really don’t understand why everybody hates america
    i mean we give you electricity the light bulb to go with it and dare i mention that out defense department gave you the internet?

    i mean we call it soccer and use the customary system of measurement almost the rest of the world uses and inferior system of metric.
    **its easier to use with math but both were made by judging the circumference of the earth and i won’t go on about how far off the metric was compaired to customary**
