Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t believe his summer flirt with Real Madrid will affect his relationship to the Old Trafford fans.
The Portuguese international was linked with a transfer to Spanish giants Real Madrid throughout the summer but ended up committing his future to Manchester United so he stays at Old Trafford at least one more season.
Ronaldo is currently undergoing rehabilitations following a summer ankle surgery but is set to return to action in United’s mid-week Champions League clash against Villarreal.
Ronaldo is aware that he will need to win over some sceptical supporters, who believe his heart is no longer with the club.
However, he insists that he has no concerns as to the reception he will get from the crowd at Old Trafford.
“When I put on the shirt, I give it my all” he said in The Sun.
“I’m already in the history of the club. When I play the fans will love me again”.
